In 2018, AH continued to focus on community service and social responsibility as a core value. From raising money and donating blood to holding a company-wide day of service, AH employees are dedicated to supporting their local communities and non-profits.
Search engine optimization (SEO) has seen a lot of changes in recent years. A few years ago, many people entered fragmented terms into search engines. Now, it’s more common for people to ask complex questions using full sentences. Search engine algorithm updates over the past few years have focused on understanding these types of queries better through natural language processing, marking a major switch from keyword to topic-focused SEO. Based on these new developments, the increasing importance of search topics shows no signs of slowing down.
On November 14-15, 2018, AH held its annual Leadership Forum event. This educational event is designed specifically for volunteer leaders of AH’s client partners to provide timely information on issues affecting their association, non-profit or certification body.
The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society™ (WOCN®) worked collaboratively with key leaders in the field of ostomy care, including Society volunteers and industry staff, to create the Peristomal Skin Assessment Guide for Clinicians and Consumers (PSAG). These are innovative web-based educational resources for clinicians who treat adult patients with ostomies and consumers (patients) with ostomies looking to improve their day-to-day comfort and stoma/skincare management.
